These guys were on the road to Dawson a couple of weeks ago. Well, I was on the road to Dawson, not sure where they were headed. One of them was standing on the highway, and when we pulled up, it gave us a steady look and slowly sat down. It was quite unwilling to surrender the road until I actually got out of the car, then gave me a dirty look and headed to the willows with his/her companion. Renee was saying excitedly: "It's because it's spring! It's mating season! They're in heat! They're acting funny because it's mating season!"
This was a theory I could relate to, though the cold stare of that lynx didn't really read 'post-coital glow' to me.
